Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to support a federal program onsite in San Diego, California. This position requires an active Secret Security Clearance.


The selected candidate will provide analytical and operational support across finance, business operations, portfolio management, and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include financial reporting, business process improvement, operational performance analysis, executive reporting, and governance support.


The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience working with financial and operational data, and the ability to translate complex information into meaningful insights for leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial and operational data to support business decisions.
  • Prepare executive reports, dashboards, and briefing materials.
  • Monitor operational performance and identify trends.
  • Support financial reconciliations and audit readiness activities.
  • Research and resolve financial or operational discrepancies.
  • Document business processes and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist with governance documentation and portfolio management.
  • Develop data visualizations and performance reports.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and strategy teams.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives and operational analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with security and government requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Public Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in financial analysis, management analysis, business operations, or program support.
  • Experience reviewing financial and operational transactions.
  • Experience preparing analytical reports, executive briefings, and presentations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, formulas, and reporting models.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
  • Experience researching and resolving financial or operational discrepancies.
  • Experience documenting business processes and workflow improvements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance required.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Navy, NAVWAR, or NIWC Pacific organizations.
  • Experience with Navy ERP (SAP), Advana, or DTS.
  • Experience supporting audit readiness initiatives.
  • Knowledge of DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR).
  • Experience with portfolio governance or executive strategy reviews.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), or Six Sigma.
